With the current “shift” in market favoring buyers I have been marketing to apartment dwellers and having much success lately.  What I have found is that most renters just need a little encouragement and education about the home buying process.  Much of this blog is inspired by questions I get from first time buyers.  There is an astounding statistic that has recently been published that I wanted to share. 

According to The U.S. Federal Reserve Board’s Survey of Consumer Finances, the average renter accumulated a little over $4,000 in net worth whereas homeowners earned an average of $184,000.

Those figures translate to an additional earning of $1,500 a month, or $18,000 a year!
